Fall 2023 Looks A Bit Different For MAHC.

Due to a change in our venue, MAHC Co-op will be gathering for local park meet-ups and field trips this semester. Thank you for being patient during these growing pains. We look forward to seeing you soon! Make sure to check our Facebook group or community calendar for event dates.

Our Mission

M.A.H.C. is a group of homeschooling families who have pooled their resources and skills to better their children’s learning experiences.

M.A.H.C. was first thought up by a few mom’s who wished to have more learning resources available to their children. Together with a few ideas and inspired by other homeschool groups/co-ops, M.A.H.C. was brought into existence.

M.A.H.C. is working hard to encourage a sense of community and togetherness through group activities, classes, encouragement of each other for both the parents and children and so much more.

To help other homeschoolers better understand what the group is trying to accomplish the name M.A.H.C. was adopted.

Our Policy

M.A.H.C. is a non-denominational group that supports the Christian faith. However, M.A.H.C. does not discriminate against any opinions or beliefs, but instead welcomes all with open arms.

M.A.H.C. classes are meant to be supplemental to what is being taught at home.

M.A.H.C. does not keep academic records permanently or temporarily. Nor does it offer high school credits.

M.A.H.C. does not offer legal advice or protection. We do, however, encourage families needing legal advice to visit Homeschool Legal Defense Association’s website for help and contact information. http://www.hslda.org

M.A.H.C. requires a parent/guardian to be on the premises at all times.

M.A.H.C. requires that all children must be with a parent/guardian or participating in the activities for the day.

M.A.H.C.’s instructors, volunteers, and guest speakers will at no time be responsible for mishaps, injuries, or accidents that may occur during the planned activities.

M.A.H.C. encourages positive and respectful attitudes from parents and children.

M.A.H.C. doesn’t put up with bullying of any kind. Should any type of bullying occur the family accused may be asked to leave immediately without any warnings given.

Frequently Asked Questions

The best way to find the answer to this question is to visit the HSLDA page for our state. They have SO much information for making sure your homeschool runs smoothly and meets the legal requirements. You do not have to be an HSLDA member to access this information!

No! We welcome all area homeschoolers that meet the age requirements to play. Fin out more about our sports programs here

Yes! We are a “no drop-off” group and do require that children are accompanied by a parent or guardian. There are lots of ways for parents to get involved as volunteers while CO-OP is going on, but we also provide spaces for parents who are not teaching to relax and socialize.

We know sometimes special circumstances arise that might require a parent to leave on a particular day. If this is the case, let us know and we will work with you!

If your kiddo(s) are showing symptoms of sickness IE: runny/stuffy nose, cough, sore throat, fever, etc… please keep them home. In case of fever, please do not return within 24 hours of fever without medicine.
We encourage everyone to wash their hands regularly. We will also have cleaning wipes for surfaces and I will also provide each class a spray bottle of Thieves Essential oil (for those of you oilers out there) to give all toys and commonly used surfaces a disinfecting spray before and after the day.

We encourage everyone to gird up your immune systems as we enter this phase of new friends and spaces! Vitamin C, Elderberries, Occilococcnium tablets, grape juice and lots of water are all great ways to naturally build a barrier for germs.
About MAHC-Keep Homeschool Weird

What is Our Promise to You?

We value uplifting your family and encouraging your homeschooling journey. We will always strive to create community, instill independence, and sow success into your children (and into you).

Our co-op is volunteer-operated. That means parents are expected to stay on-site during co-op sessions. We offer many volunteer opportunities (even non-teaching ones!), PLUS we have a cafe area where you can enjoy time with other adults (gasp!) while your kids are enjoying & experiencing co-op.

Creating Community

Here, we keep homeschool weird. MAHC understands that you need a place to connect with others, and that's exactly why we do what we do. We provide a community where your kids can practice social skills, experience community participation, and enhance social growth.

Instilling Independence

While community is an important part of a healthy upbringing, being comfortable and confident in your own skin is just as crucial. That's why instilling independence and fostering strong self-esteem is one of our core values at MAHC. We help build a beautiful internal story in your children that no one can tear away from them.

Sowing Success

We believe that raising kids who are ready to leave the nest is a sacred parenting responsibility. MAHC works alongside you to help ingrain the principles of success into your kids. We help you nudge them out of their comfort zone and look for growth opportunities... Important lessons that they'll remember forever!
